Local Property Management Company Earns National Designation

Frederick, MD - Property Management People, Inc., a leading local company in the residential property management field, has been awarded the CRMC^® (Certified Residential Management Company) designation from the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM^®).  This prestigious designation is held by only thirty-five property management companies nationwide and is reflective of the professional commitment made to the industry by Property Management People, Inc.    NARPM^®, the nation’s only professional organization for managers of single-family and small multi-family residential properties, has over 2,500 members. 

Rose G. Thomas, MPM^®, RMP^®, president of Property Management People, accepted the award recently at NARPM’s annual conference in Orlando, Florida.  “Receiving the CRMC^® designation is the culmination of our staff’s tireless work in maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards while consistently providing expert service to our clients”, stated Ms. Thomas.  The professional designation is awarded to property management companies that demonstrate a high standard in both procedures and customer service. In addition, a detailed examination of the company as well as recommendations from clients and peers are required.  In order to achieve this certification, PMP was rated by an auditor and had to meet exacting standards in all areas of operation, from documented policies & procedures to ongoing staff training on Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant laws.

 Property Management People (PMP) has been in business since 1980 and its Residential division currently manages over 350 single-family homes, townhouses, condominiums and apartments for individual property owners in the Frederick area.

LOCAL COMPANY RAISES MONEY FOR CHARITY

FREDERICK, MD, JANUARY 28, 2010:  Property Management People, Inc. (PMP), a property management company headquartered in Frederick, Maryland serving 350 residential rental property owners in the greater Frederick area and over 85 community associations in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, raised $1,500 to benefit a local charity. In addition, PMP employees donated $150 to Lee Jeans’ National Denim Day event in October to benefit breast cancer research.

Each month in 2009, PMP invited its 50 employees to participate in “Denim for Charity Day”. For a $5 donation per designated “Denim Day”, employees were permitted to wear jeans to work. Earlier this month, participating PMP employees voted for their favorite charity from a list of seven local and national charitable organizations. The Frederick Memorial Hospital Cancer Patient Assistance Fund was chosen as the recipient of PMP’s 2009 donation. 

The FMH Cancer Patient Assistance Fund aids Frederick County cancer patients who need financial help purchasing prescriptions, nutritional supplements and durable medical supplies. Assistance from the Fund is generally crisis driven - the patient may be eligible for other programs but assistance from outside sources is not immediately available.
